This filters fits in the base of the machine directly on top of the card filter and underneath the metal base grate. The filter helps to maintain the life span of your equipment by taking the excess tan out of the air. It is important to regulary change your filters on these machines to prevent leakages and break downs. This filter should be changed for every gallon of tan used through the machine
